Playing with Guns
Submitted by Aaron Cornell on Sun, 10/26/2008 - 12:20am.When I was a kid we played with guns. Okay fake guns, but still they looked and felt real. Each kid on my block had a .45, an M16, a Luger, maybe a Beretta or two, and a few dud grenades. And no orange safety paint. These suckers looked and felt real.
Babnik the Wild Card
Submitted by Isa Magomedov on Sat, 10/18/2008 - 12:52am.Will the real Babnik please stand up and explain in details the beginning, the climax and the ending of this movie. Because Alejandro keeps teasing us with small, carefully written scenes, which are getting more and more thrilling after each shoot day.
The suspense is driving me crazy; it feels like I am being fed caviar with the needle. Just give me the whole damn jar! I will scoop what I need.
Alejandro might not reveal the entire script, but he knows how build suspense. What was in that pink bubble bottle on the last shoot?
I overheard "chemicals" "poison" "nuke" "strangle" even "WMD"...
I can't wait to see the movie, it's definitely going to be a wild card at the festivals.

Seeking Seven Samurai--Will Settle for Three
Submitted by Alejandro Adams on Fri, 10/17/2008 - 1:02am.The fits-and-starts quality of this production has been hard for me. I thrive on momentum. I don't know about other people's constitutions, and in some ways it's counterproductive for me to think about other people's constitutions. People-pleasing and film directing aren't compatible.

Submitted by Artem Mishin on Thu, 10/16/2008 - 7:00pm.My first reaction was – fear... I showed up for an audition at the Silent Film Museum in Fremont. It was quiet and cold...Without any warm up I found myself on the stage with other "try-outs" and the cameras were rolling...I was scared, my mouth dried up and I was shaking...those are my memories of the first meeting with Alejandro and the crew...What happened next? I got in...

Website
Submitted by Artem Mishin on Thu, 10/16/2008 - 5:26pm.I like the fact that the site is done in black and white. It fits the theme of the film and it looks very cinematic. It's got character. It's precise. That's on the artistic side.
In terms of "ease of use" – it's not elaborately over designed, it's not busy – the interface is simple, clear and effortless to navigate.
Thank you!
He's At It Again...
Submitted by Alejandro Adams on Mon, 10/13/2008 - 9:01am.When I was casting CANARY as a non-paying non-union production, someone snapped, "You can afford that website but you can't pay your actors? You need to get your priorities straight!"
